Leslie’s Care Packages was founded in August 2016 by Vi Wood, in loving memory of her husband, Leslie—a man remembered for his quiet strength, gentle humour, and unwavering kindness. What began as a deeply personal tribute has grown into a grassroots movement that has supported thousands across the Black Country and beyond. For nine years, Leslie’s Care Packages has provided essentials and everyday basics—not just to meet immediate needs, but to offer dignity, warmth, and hope. Every package is a reflection of Leslie’s spirit and a reminder that kindness can change lives. Under Vi’s compassionate leadership, Leslie’s legacy lives on—in the way people feel seen, supported, and valued.
